Hans Eberhard Scholze

Hans Eberhard Scholze (born May 31, 1920 in Friedersdorf ; † May 23, 1978 ) was a German preservationist .

Life

Scholze grew up in Upper Lusatia and took part in World War II. After the war he finished his school education and studied architecture at the Technical University of Dresden from 1948 to 1953. Then he was Georg Nerlich's assistant in the painting and graphics department at the TH Dresden until 1958 . After successfully completing his doctorate on Johann Christoph von Naumann , he was deputy chief curator at the Institute for Monument Preservation in Dresden until 1976 , where he made great contributions to the research and preservation of cultural and historical monuments in Saxony. In 1970 he completed his habilitation.
