Hans Eder (born March 26, 1927 in Bad Gastein ; † April 28, 2008 in Qualicum Beach , BC , Canada ) was an Austrian skier who was active in ski jumping , Nordic combined and cross-country skiing .

Career

Hans Eder took part in several Nordic disciplines for Austria at the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo . Therefore, he started in cross-country skiing as well as ski jumping and Nordic combined . In none of these competitions he could reach the podium. His best results were 9th place in the individual Nordic combined and 5th place in the 4 × 10 km relay in cross-country skiing.

He then emigrated to Canada in November 1952 and settled in Ontario . There he and his wife bought the Snow Valley Ski Resort in Barrie , which they then managed for 30 years.
