Hans Faber-Perathoner

Hans Faber-Perathoner , actually Johann Faber, (born September 17, 1907 in Ortisei in Val Gardena ; † September 8, 1987 in Bolzano ) was a Tyrolean teacher and author.

He was the son of the wood sculptor Johann Faber (1877–1932) and Philomena, b. Perathoner, a sister of the sculptor Hans Perathoner , and spent his childhood first in Bielefeld and Berlin, the places where his uncle worked, who was supported in his work by his father, and from 1915 in Innsbruck . He studied classical archeology, art history, German and Romance studies at the University of Innsbruck . In 1931 he was with a work at Adolf Pichler hymns Dr. phil. PhD. After military service and prisoner of war worked as a teacher (professor) at the commercial academy in Innsbruck until 1968 . He was a founding member in 1951 and from 1954 to 1964 President of the Tower Association in Innsbruck, then its Honorary President. He spent his retirement in Germany, until 1971 in Cologne, then in Witten, Dortmund and Gungolding .

As a writer, he emerged primarily as a poet and essayist .
