Hans Georg Benda
Hans Georg Benda (also Johann Georg Benda and Jan Jiří Benda; * 1686 ; † 1757 ) was a Bohemian linen weaver and musician in Alt-Benatek an der Jizera and the progenitor of the Benda family of musicians.
Life
Hans Georg Benda was married to Dorothea Brixi, daughter of the village cantor Heinrich Brixi in Skalsko . Her children were the court musicians Franz Benda (1709–1786), Johann Georg Benda (1713–1752), Georg Benda (1722–1795) and Joseph Benda (1724–1804) and the court singer Anna Franziska Benda (1728–1781), married Hattasch , and the linen weaver Viktor Benda (1719–1762).
