Hans Georg Stehlin (entrepreneur)
Hans Georg Stehlin (born November 10, 1806 in Basel ; † August 10, 1871 there ) was a Swiss entrepreneur.

biography
Hans Georg Stehlin, brother of Johann Jakob Stehlin the Elder , trained as a carpenter . He then trained as an engineer in Manchester . In 1831 he became a partner in an ironworks in Niederschönthal , Canton of Basel-Landschaft , which passed into his ownership in 1849 and to which he incorporated a textile processing company for cotton and Schappe . In the 1850s he was also involved in the construction of iron bridges for the Swiss Central Railway . Stehlin found his final resting place in the St. Alban-Kirchhof in Basel.
