Hans Gschnitzer

Hans Gschnitzer (born January 19, 1938 in Hötting , Innsbruck ; † October 23, 2013 there ) was an Austrian folklorist and museum director.

Life

Gschnitzer studied folklore and geography. He worked in the cultural department of the Tyrolean provincial government on matters of folk culture and looked after the local museums. From 1980 to 2003 he was director of the Tyrolean Folk Art Museum .
