Hans Hägele (born July 13, 1940 in Esslingen am Neckar ; † October 18, 2010 at the Körschtalviadukt ) was a German football player and player agent .

Career

Hans Hägele moved from VfL Sindelfingen to VfR Heilbronn for the 1968/69 season . The center forward came to the lawn players primarily because of his friendship with the then VfR coach Lothar Weise and in his two years advanced to become one of the best scorers in the club's history of black and white.

In his first season, Hans Hägele was a key figure in the promotion to the then second -rate regional football league . He scored both goals in VfR's 2-0 victory over the VfB Stuttgart amateurs on February 2, 1969. After the VfR had reached the championship of this season in the 1st amateur league , six promotion games followed, in which Hägele made a decisive contribution to the success of the VfR with his goals. So he scored the goal for the 3-2 win in the 90th minute in the game against VfB Friedrichshafen , which was of considerable importance for the promotion.

In the following regional league season 1969/70 under coach Adolf Remy , Hägele was in the regular formation and met 19 times for VfR Heilbronn, whereupon the newspaper Sport-Kurier appointed him to the "Team of the South". In the summer of 1970 Hägele joined the regional league team Fortuna Düsseldorf , but came there in the promotion round to the 1st Bundesliga only on two missions.

Hägele later worked as a players' agent. He took his own life in October 2010 by jumping from the Körschtalbrücke. Hägele left two children.
