Hans Höhne (born January 7, 1921 ) is a former German soccer player. From 1949 to 1952 he played for BSG Waggonbau / Motor Dessau in the top soccer league of GDR soccer . In 1949 he won the GDR Cup with BSG Waggonbau.

Athletic career

The company sports community (BSG) Waggonbau Dessau missed in 1949 as second in the state class south in Saxony-Anhalt the participation in the final round of the east zone championship . This made her appearance all the more successful in the competition for the Eastern Zone FDGB Football Cup . The team reached the final, in which they defeated Gera-Süd 1-0 on August 28, 1949 . The 28-year-old Hans Höhne, who had already played for the BSG predecessor SG Dessau-Nord, played in the position of right defender for Dessau. By winning the cup, BSG Waggonbau qualified for the first East German Zone League (later DS League, GDR Oberliga ) to determine the zone master in 1949/50. Since the GDR was founded during the season , the first GDR soccer champion ( ZSG Horch Zwickau ) was determined at the end of the season . During the season BSG Waggonbau changed its name to BSG Motor Dessau and came in third. Höhne played all 26 league games as a defender. When a second soccer league was introduced across the GDR for the 1950/51 season, the championship league was named Oberliga. Initially, Höhne was back in the Dessau regular team, but his stakes were reduced in winter, and in the second half of the season he was only called up in three league games. In the 1951/52 season, Höhne was still part of the BSG Motor squad, but only played three point games in September 1951 and at the end of the 1952 season. Then he ended his career in the football league at the age of 31. Within three seasons he had made 48 appearances in the highest East German football class, but as a defensive player he did not score a goal.
