Hans Harmuth (born January 25, 1929 ) is a former German soccer player. For the SC Rotation Leipzig he played from 1957 to 1959 in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

In 1957, the 28-year-old Hans Harmuth came from the fourth-class district league team Stahl Lippendorf to SC Rotation Leipzig, the top club of the Rotation sports association . He had his first league assignment on the 10th matchday of the 1957 season (calendar year season) as a half-left striker in the encounter SC Rotation - BSG Rotation Babelsberg . With his goal to make it 2-0, he also celebrated his debut as a goalscorer. By the end of the season Harmuth played a total of nine league games, in which he was always called up for strikers who were not ready for action. He was able to increase his goal account to four hits. In the 1958 season he initially had competition from Rainer Trölitzsch , who was ten years his junior , but who he was able to replace after four games and was then set to attack half right. With his six goals, he was one of the most successful shooters in his team. In 1959 Harmuth was a regular from the start. Until the summer break, he played all 13 league games in his usual position and scored four goals. Then he left the squad of the SC rotation without appearing again in higher-class football.
