Hans Hartmann (born December 6, 1913 in Villnachern ; † November 17, 1991 in Heiligenschwendi ) was a Swiss graphic artist .

Live and act

Hartmann studied at the Zurich School of Applied Arts and then worked for the Swiss Museum of Transport , Swissair and the Swiss Federal Railways, among others . He participated in the national exhibitions of 1939 and 1964 , and designed a series of stamps on monuments as well as road traffic posters and art in buildings . His work is characterized by “memorable posters and drawings based on precise hatching”.

Hartmann's estate is in the Burger Library in Bern .
