Individual evidence

  1. The well-known Swiss publisher Orell Füssli was established in 1770 through the merger of Orell, Gessner & Co (1761) and Füssli & Co. Major Zurich citizens were involved, for example Hans Conrad Orell, Salomon Gessner , Heinrich Heidegger and Hans ( Johann) Heinrich Füssli. With their publications they exerted a great influence on the German-language Enlightenment.
