Hans Hermann Weber (doctor)

Hans Hermann Julius Wilhelm Weber (born June 17, 1896 in Berlin ; † June 12, 1974 in Heidelberg ) was a German physiologist and biochemist .

Life

Hans Hermann Weber attended grammar school in Berlin and then studied medicine in Berlin, Greifswald, Rostock and Heidelberg. From 1914 to 1918 he did military service. From 1922 to 1925 he was an assistant at the Physiological Institute in Rostock, where he completed his habilitation . From 1927 to 1931 he was a private lecturer at the University of Münster . From 1954 until his retirement in 1966 Weber was director at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research in Heidelberg. In 1955 he became a member of the Leopoldina . From 1967 to 1968 he was chairman of the Society of German Natural Scientists and Doctors .

Hans Hermann Weber mainly researched proteins . He taught in Munich, Königsberg in Prussia, Tübingen and Heidelberg.
