Merit Medal of the Leopoldina
The Merit Medal is awarded by the Presidium of the German Academy of Natural Scientists Leopoldina on a special occasion “for outstanding services to the idea and the well-being of the Academy”. It bears the portrait and the name of the winner. The award has been made at irregular intervals since 1962.
