Hans Igler

Hans Igler (born July 29, 1920 in Vienna ; † May 5, 2010 ibid) was an Austrian economist and politician. He is the father of Theresa Jordis .

Life

Hans Igler did military service from 1938 to 1945, and also studied at the University of World Trade in Vienna. In 1946 he obtained his degree in business administration and in 1947 his doctorate. From 1946 to 1950 he worked in the “ Krauland Ministry” in the processing of Marshall Plan aid. From 1950 to 1955 he worked in the ERP (European Recovery Program) office of the Federal Chancellery. He was the economic policy advisor to Chancellor Julius Raab during the preparations for the Austrian State Treaty . From 1956 to 1959 he was chairman of the board of the Österreichischen Industrie- und Bergbauverwaltungs-GmbH (IBV, umbrella company of nationalized industry ). From 1972 to 1980 he was President of the Federation of Industrialists . Hans Igler died on May 5, 2010 after a long, serious illness and was buried at the Heiligenstädter Friedhof in Vienna.
