Hans Kalt (politician)

Hans Kalt (* 1922 in Vienna ; † March 1, 2009 ibid) was an Austrian politician , economist and journalist |.

After the end of the Second World War , Hans Kalt was involved in the reconstruction of the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ) in Vienna. In 1946 he took over the management of the KPÖ daily newspaper Volkswille in Carinthia , where he later became state secretary. He represented his party in the Carinthian state parliament from 1964 to 1970. Hans Kalt had been a member of the Central Committee of the KPÖ since 1961, and from 1969 to 1982 he was editor-in-chief of the central organ of the Volksstimme , which is why he moved back to Vienna. After the death of Walter Wachs , Hans Kalt took over the leadership of the party's finance commission in 1982 and was a member of it until 1990.
