Hans Koch (born May 29, 1898 in Alfeld (Leine) ; † August 17, 1989 in Bremen ) was a teacher and director (1945–1964) of the old school on Leibnizplatz .

biography

Koch was the son of a pastor. He graduated from a high school in Alfeld and until 1918 the high school in Einbeck . He then studied German, geography and history at the University of Göttingen . He also worked as a trainee lawyer in Göttingen . In 1926 he was a teacher at the Lyceum in Leer , from 1927 at the secondary school for girls at the kleine Helle in Bremen and from 1940 at the Lüderitzschule Bremen (later secondary school on Dechanatstrasse ). In the Second World War he was a soldier from 1944. Politically he was unencumbered.

After his release from prisoner-of-war in Norway, he became head of the school at Leibnizplatz , a high school and then a grammar school in Bremen - Neustadt . Koch was given the task of reorganizing this school. In 1947/48 he also became headmaster of the secondary school for girls - the former Anna Waetge girls' school - on Mainstrasse. Since 1950 he has integrated the Lyceum into the Leibniz School as part of co -education. By 1964 he reformed the big school.
