Hans Krüger (born June 5, 1904 in Berlin , † November 27, 1944 in the Brandenburg prison ) was a resistance fighter against National Socialism .

Life

Hans Krüger lived in Lichtenberg , Rummelsburg , at Türrschmidtstrasse 38. The independent locksmith and mechanic worked for the Deutsche Telefon-Werke in Neukölln. When he dared to make statements against the Nazi regime among relatives and friends, he was denounced and sentenced on May 8, 1944 by the Berlin Court of Appeal to seven years in prison for “ degrading military strength ” . The People's Court overturned the sentence and converted it into a death sentence; the sentence was carried out on November 27, 1944 in the Brandenburg prison.

  • There is a memorial plaque on his former home in Türrschmidtstrasse 38.
