Hans Kramer (politician)

Hans Kramer (born June 9, 1903 in Augsburg ; † February 6, 1980 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Kramer did an apprenticeship as an iron turner , attended business schools and then worked in industry. He studied political science and economics at the Prussian State University in Harrisleefeld and built up an independent business. In June 1933 Kramer was arrested and in 1939 at the beginning of the war he was forced to work as a lathe operator in the industry. From 1943 he was a soldier on the Eastern Front in World War II .

In 1933, Kramer was briefly a member of the Augsburg city council. From 1945 to 1964 he was the local SPD chairman in Augsburg. In 1946 he was a member of the state constituent assembly and from 1946 to 1970 a member of the Bavarian state parliament .
