Hans Kretschmer

Hans Kretschmer (born July 12, 1887 in Görlitz ; † 1976 ) was a German publisher .

Career

Kretschmer was the owner of a book printing company. In early 1919 he acquired the CA Starke Verlag . He is the founder of the journal “Archive for Family Research ” and published the “Genealogical Handbook of the Baltic Knighthoods” from 1929 to 1944.

After expropriation in 1946, he moved with his family to Glücksburg , where he began to rebuild the publishing house. In 1958 he moved the company headquarters to Limburg .
