Hans Luber (engineer)

Hans Luber (born February 17, 1930 in Munich ; † January 18, 2013 ibid) was a German civil engineer and association official.

Life

Hans Luber received his doctorate in 1961 at the Faculty of Building Sciences at the Technical University of Munich as Dr.-Ing. Between 1984 and 1991 he was a member of the advisory board of the Bavarian Construction Industry Association and from 1987 to 1993 chairman of its district association in Munich / Upper Bavaria. From 1991 to 1999 he was chairman of the German Concrete Association and after his departure was honored with the honorary chairmanship of the association.

During his term of office, the integration of new members from East Germany as well as the preparation of the relocation of the association's office to Berlin fall. In addition, the association's activities were expanded to include structural engineering. Luber also campaigned for the promotion of building research and scientific exchange with the associations of neighboring countries.
