Hans Müller (born November 27, 1868 in Zurich ; † April 15, 1953 in Baden ; legal domicile in Zurich) was a Swiss brewery entrepreneur .

life and work

The reformed baptized, was born in Zurich Hans Müller, son of the mill owner Johann Jakob Müller and his spouse Verena born Baumann, completed after his compulsory education training as a brewer with his uncle in the Hürlimann brewery .

He then worked in Weihenstephan , Pilsen , Copenhagen and for four more years as a master brewer in Giessen . A trip to the United States concluded his apprenticeship and traveling years.

In 1897 Müller acquired the former "Johann Weber Brewery" in Baden , built in 1886 . This, which operated under his name from this point in time, namely " Müllerbräu " , subsequently flourished parallel to the growth of the industrial city. In his function as a board member of the Swiss Beer Brewing Association, his commitment was to the creation of the beer cartel . The H. Müller AG brewery was run by his descendants in 2008.

Müller was also a patron a. a. important for the artists living in Baden. He also collected Swiss and French art. Hans Müller was involved in various organizations and was a long-time member of the administrative commission of the municipal works. For the youth, the needy and especially for the sick, Müller regularly donated money and attached great importance to the well-being of his workforce.

Hans Müller was married to Johanna from Wädenswil , daughter of the building contractor Ferdinand Hauser . Müller died in Baden in the spring of 1953 at the age of 84.
