Hans Meis

Hans Meis (born June 28, 1902 in Waldvelen ; † December 8, 1984 in Dortmund ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1921 at the humanistic grammar school in Coesfeld , Meis entered the administrative service and began a civil service career. He became a major auditor in 1939 and was most recently employed in this position at the major tax auditor in Dortmund at the regional tax office in Münster . From 1943 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier . He later joined the German Association of Officials and held managerial positions there.

Political party

After the end of the war, Meis joined the CDU and was involved in building the party in Westphalia in 1945/46 .

MP

Meis was a member of the German Bundestag from July 2, 1958, when he replaced the late MP Karl Arnold , until 1969. He was always drawn into parliament via the state list of the CDU North Rhine-Westphalia .
