from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hans Morper (born March 13, 1907 in Bamberg ; † November 3, 1981 ibid), also known as Haanzlesgörch , was a Bamberg journalist and dialect poet. He wrote poems and prose pieces in Bamberg dialect. His poems in particular are considered to be the initiation of a Bamberg dialect tone of their own in literature.

Life

Morper was born as the son of a Lower Franconian and a farmer's daughter from the Jura in Bamberg. He worked as a local editor in his hometown, was part of the editorial team of the Bamberger Volksblatt and the Schaulade . As early as the early 1930s, the Bavarian Radio broadcast dialect lectures by the author, who began his native poetry at a young age. However, book publications did not follow until the 1950s. In 1971 and 1972 Hans Morper produced the long-playing records Lachendes Bamberg and Lachendes Bamberg 2 together with the Singgemeinschaft Gartenstadt. His most famous pieces, including the Oberhaider pilgrimage , were preserved for posterity in the original lecture on these sound carriers . They are now available again on CD.

A street in Bamberg was named after Hans Morper. On April 13, 1973, he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his outstanding commitment to the garden city in Bamberg .
