Hans Naumilkat
Hans Christoph Karl Friedrich Naumilkat (born December 9, 1919 in Schönebeck (Elbe) , † February 13, 1994 in Berlin ) was a German composer and music educator.
Life
Naumilkat graduated from high school in Schönebeck in 1938 and then studied music and music education in Braunschweig, Berlin and Halle .
After the Second World War, Naumilkat headed the folk music department, the music department in the children's radio and the children's choirs of the Berliner Rundfunk, founded in 1950 . In the meantime he worked as a freelance composer and from 1957 as a music teacher.
In 1966 he was appointed professor and from 1968 to 1974 directed the Etkar André ensemble at the EOS “Georg Friedrich Händel” in Berlin. From 1974 he was a choir leader and music teacher at the Erfurt / Mühlhausen University of Education .
Hans Naumilkat mainly composed vocal works for his choirs, for school practice and the GDR pioneer organization; the lyrics of many of his songs were written by his wife Ilse, who also worked as a choir director. His songs achieved wide distribution through inclusion in school books, radio broadcasts, television productions with the choirs he directed and live performances right up to the state act.

With his wife Ilse (1917–1999) he had three children: Irmke (married. Rückert), Thilo and Jens (* 1953).
His son Jens Naumilkat is a cellist, music teacher, composer and arranger. a. worked for many years with Mikis Theodorakis and Maria Farantouri , as well as with Barbara Thalheim .
