Hans Ritz (electrical engineer)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hans Ritz (* 1902 ; † June 4, 1971 ) was a German electrical engineer.

Ritz first worked at the Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft (AEG) in Berlin and specialized in the construction of instrument transformers . In 1940, for political reasons, he became the manager of the Philips works (formerly " CHF Müller Röntgenwerk"), which was under compulsory and external administration . He was a confidante of Ernst Schiebold and had judged his proposal for an X-ray cannon positively.

After he was dismissed in 1945 at the urging of the denazification committee, he founded "Ritz Messwandler GmbH & Co KG" in Hamburg, the parent company of today's international group of companies, Ritz Instrument Transformers GmbH. In 1956 he founded the first foreign subsidiary in Marchtrenk, Austria . There are now eight locations (as of 2018): four in Germany (Hamburg, Dresden, Wirges, Kirchaich) and one each in Austria (Marchtrenk), Hungary (Kecskemét), China (Shanghai) and in the USA (Hartwell).
