Bacio di Tosca is a German music project around the mezzo-soprano Dörthe Flemming, which combines influences from the classical period, especially the German art song , with modern electronic dark-wave elements. The name (translated: Kiss of Tosca ) is derived from a murder scene in the opera Tosca .

In May 2012, Bacio di Tosca launched their own online video magazine. The magazine revolves around a setting of a text by famous poets and provides background information on the poet of the program.

style

The music of Bacio di Tosca with texts by old poets such as Eduard Mörike , Heinrich Heine or Theodor Storm is mainly shaped by the classical singing of Dörthe Flemming, who was previously active as a singer in the band “Charitona”. She herself describes her style as symphonic wave .
