Hans S. Rupprecht
Hans Stefan Rupprecht (born March 3, 1930 in Nuremberg , † December 9, 2010 in New York ) was a German physicist .
Career
Rupprecht received his doctorate in 1957 from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Erlangen. After working at the Siemens research laboratory in Erlangen and at the IBM research center in Yorktown Heights (New York), he was director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics (IAF) in Freiburg im Breisgau from 1985 to 1995 .
Compound semiconductors were the focus of his research .
