Hans Seitz

Hans Seitz (born May 16, 1929 in Vienna ; † May 17, 2011 in Eggenburg ) was a patron of the city of Eggenburg.

Life

After leaving school he studied Jus , received his doctorate in 1952 and graduated from the judicial year; Initially he worked for the Federation of Industry , from 1961 he worked for a Graz construction company, for which he worked internationally. From 1981 he lived in the family-owned castle in Eggenburg. He was active in the Krahuletz Society for over 25 years and was chairman of the Pro Eggenburg Association from 1984 to 1999 , where he campaigned for the preservation and renovation of the many small and cultural monuments, such as the citizen hospital ensemble, the burial chapel, the Way of the Cross and the rosary chapels .

He was an honorary citizen of the city of Eggenburg, holder of the ring of honor and the golden badge of honor of the city and was awarded the golden medal for services to the federal state of Lower Austria . Posthumously a memorial plaque was put up for him in the citizen hospital. Seitz had committed himself to the renovation and maintenance of the listed buildings.
