Hans Strigel the Younger

Hans Strigel the Younger (* before 1450 in Memmingen ; † 1479 there ) was a late Gothic painter and member of the Strigel family of artists and the Memmingen School .

Live and act

Hans Strigel the Younger was born in Memmingen, Upper Swabia , before 1450, the son of Hans Strigel the Elder , and is considered a late Gothic painter. Not much is known about his life. His son could have been Bernhard Strigel , but Ivo Strigel could also have been his father. Ivo Strigel was created through the Montfort-Werdenberg-Altar (1465) as brother Hans d. J. occupied.

Works

Many of the works are still in the places for which they were created. Some are in the Strigel Museum in Memmingen and other museums.
