Hans Theodor Soergel
Hans Theodor Soergel (born October 6, 1867 in Schwarzach ; † November 11, 1943 in Freilassing ) was a German legal scholar , newspaper editor and author of legal literature.
Hans Theodor Soergel was a Bavarian councilor , private scholar and writer. He settled in Freilassing, Bavaria, where he lived until his death. In 1897 he founded the legal journal Das Recht . In 1921 he published the BGB commentary Soergel for the first time , which is still one of the leading BGB major commentaries today.
