Hans Thomi
Hans Thomi (born March 12, 1885 in Langenthal ; † March 30, 1976 in Basel , legal resident in Oberburg ) was a Swiss entrepreneur .
Life
Hans Thomi grew up as the son of Johann Friedrich and Maria in an entrepreneurial family. After attending schools in Langenthal , he stayed in Paris and Liverpool .
He returned to Zurich in 1914 and joined his father's company, Helvetia Langenthal , in 1921 . This merged in 1930 with Heinrich Franck Söhne AG to form the new company Franck Thomi SA . Hans Thomi, who in the meantime moved to Basel , was director and delegate of the administrative board until 1953 . At that time, he handed over the reins to his sons and remained Chairman of the Board of Directors until 1960 .
From 1919 Thomi was married to Bertha, the daughter of Samuel Jakob Tresch.
