Hans Treitler

Hans Treitler (born August 11, 1940 in Gallbrunn ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and principal school director. From 1983 to 1998 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament and a short-term member of the Federal Council .

After primary school in Schönabrunn, Treitler attended the Bundesrealgymnasium in Bruck an der Leitha and then graduated from the teacher training institute in Wiener Neustadt from 1954 to 1959 . He then worked as a primary school teacher from 1959 to 1963, was then primary school director until 1968 and then taught mathematics, physics / chemistry, visual education and shorthand at a secondary school. In 1976 he took over the position of secondary school teacher. Treitler also studied psychology, pedagogy and anthropology at the University of Vienna . Treitler became a local councilor in Amstetten in 1972 , held the office of deputy mayor from 1975 to 1995 and then acted again as local councilor until 1997. He also worked from 1972 to 1988 as ÖVP city party chairman and from 1979 to 1995 chief district chairman of the ÖAAB Amstetten. In addition, from 1994 to 1998 he was a member of the provincial board of the ÖAAB Lower Austria. He represented the ÖVP from December 1, 1983 to April 16, 1998 in the Lower Austrian state parliament and was a member of the Federal Council from July 1, 1997 to July 2, 1997.
