Hans Ullrich (Manager)
Hans Ullrich (born March 15, 1889 in Eisfeld , † February 18, 1971 in Göttingen ) was a German insurance manager.
Life
After attending grammar school in Eisenach, Hans Ullrich studied law at the Universities of Göttingen, Munich and Jena. In 1908 he became a member of the Corps Brunsviga in Göttingen . At the end of 1911 he passed the first state examination. In 1912 he received his doctorate as Dr. jur. He then served as a one-year volunteer in the field artillery. He passed the second state examination in May 1920.
In mid-1920 Ullrich joined Gothaer Lebensversicherungsbank a. G. and became Deputy Director in 1921, Director and full member of the Executive Board with sole power of representation in 1923 and Director General in 1931. In 1931 he was also a member of the supervisory board of Gothaer Allgemeine Versicherungsbank AG. Deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Karola-Werk, Chemische Fabrik AG in Eisenach, chairman of the supervisory board of Ullrich, Sauer and Co. AG in Gräfenroda and member of the supervisory board of the Mitteldeutsche Zentralgenossenschaftsbank in Gotha.
During the Nazi era , he became chairman of the Academy for German Law in 1934 and chairman of the central committee for legal issues in the insurance industry in 1939. He was a member of the NSDAP (membership number 2.021.979) and the SS (membership number 231.978).
After the Second World War , he was General Director of Gothaer Lebensversicherung AG, which was relocated to Göttingen in 1946, and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Gothaer Allgemeine Versicherung AG and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Gothaer Lebensversicherung AG.
Awards
In the First World War , in which he took part in its full length as a reserve officer, he was awarded the Iron Cross II and I Class, the Meiningen War Merit Cross and the Wound Badge.
