Hans Wach

Hans Wach (born December 18, 1879 in Höchst ; † December 15, 1961 in Kilchberg ZH ) was a German engineer.

biography

Wach studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Hanover and was awarded a Dr.-Ing. PhD. He started his professional career at Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg and then moved to Friedr. Krupp Germania shipyard to Kiel. He was particularly interested in the steam turbine as a ship propulsion system. During his employment as the technical director of the Joh. C. Tecklenborg shipyard in Bremerhaven, he developed the Bauer-Wach exhaust steam turbine together with Gustav Bauer .

Wach was a member of the shipyard's board of directors for a number of years until 1926. After the Joh. C. Tecklenborg shipyard was integrated into the Deutsche Schiff- und Maschinenbau Aktiengesellschaft ( DESCHIMAG ) in 1926 , Hans Wach took over the management of DESCHIMAG's marine engineering until 1928.

Hans Wach was a member of the Shipbuilding Society in Berlin.
