Hans Ziemer

Hans Ziemer (born May 13, 1920 in Weimar ; † July 28, 1987 in Osnabrück ) was a Lower Saxony politician and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the CDU .

Life

Ziemer became a member of the Hitler Youth as early as 1931 . After graduating from elementary school , he attended a secondary school , where he obtained his university entrance qualification in 1938 . During the Second World War he served in the air intelligence service and was a participant in the war in Norway , North Africa and the Soviet Union . He reached the rank of lieutenant and was most recently company commander in the "parachute troops" in Holland. After being seriously wounded, he was taken prisoner of war there. Since June 1944 he belonged to the NSDAP with membership number 5.525.012.

After returning to Germany, he worked as a youth carer in various youth homes in Lower Saxony and then as a metal worker for a long time.

In 1950 he became the full-time workers secretary of the Catholic labor movement in the Diocese of Hildesheim, until he became a consultant for adult education there in January 1963 .

Ziemer was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament in the 3 to 5 electoral period from May 6, 1955 to June 5, 1967. Until May 1959, he belonged to the DP / CDU parliamentary group; from June 26, 1963 to June 5, 1967 was chairman of the state parliament committee for social affairs.

Ziemer was married and had five children.
