Hans von Freyberg (born February 17, 1881 in Charlottenburg ; † April 24, 1945 ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending elementary school and secondary school, Freyberg completed an agricultural apprenticeship in the provinces of Saxony, Mecklenburg and Neumark. He then attended the agricultural college in Halle and the commercial school. After that he was a member of the Jäger Regiment on horseback in Posen, and finally he took part in the suppression of the Herero uprising with the imperial protection force in German South West Africa .

From 1914 to 1918 Freyberg took part in the First World War, in which he fought on the Western Front . After the war he worked as a calculator in agricultural engineering.

Freyberg has been politically active in the NSDAP since 1925. In this he was from 1925 to 1931 section leader of the Tegel section of the party. From 1929 he was a district councilor in District 20 (Berlin-Reinickendorf). From January 1 to September 30, 1932, he served as deputy district leader and municipal advisor for the north district, before he was finally appointed district leader on October 1, 1932.

In March 1933 Freyberg became a city councilor and unpaid city councilor in Berlin. In the city's magistrate, he took over the department for market halls and milk cooling systems. In July of the same year he was finally appointed a paid city councilor in Berlin-Reinickendorf, where he was responsible for the welfare and youth welfare department and the welfare of war survivors.

From November 1933 until his death in 1945, Freyberg was a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 2 (West Berlin) . In the SA he was Obersturmbannführer zV In the DAF , he acted as district judge.

Freyberg died in combat shortly before the end of World War II .
