Hans von Nikerke

Hans von Nikerke († 1616 ) was an Estonian landowner, quartermaster and district administrator .

Life

Niekerke was a member of the noble family Neuenkirchen , which moved to Livonia with his grandfather Johann von Neuenkirchen († before 1549) . His father's name was also Johann († before 1585) and had been wealthy on the Fall estate in the Kegel parish in Harrien since 1555 .

Hans von Niekerke himself owned the Kohat estate in the Rappel parish , from his father's inheritance Fall and 7.5 hooks in the village of Mönest. He was a quartermaster and since 1615 Estonian district administrator . On January 4, 1616 he was buried in St. Nikolai in Reval .

With him, the male line of his family in the Baltic region found its way out. From his marriage to Catharina von Bremen adH Engdes († 1621) he left three daughters who were all married to sons of the Wrangel family:

  1. Elisabeth († 1657), ⚭ 1626 Jürgen von Wrangel, († after 1657), Swedish captain, master of Sauß and Thomel
  2. Anna († after 1667), heiress von Fall, ⚭ Jürgen von Wrangel († before 1638)
  3. Catharina († 1693), ⚭ Hans von Wrangel, († 1659), man judge , gentleman on Kohhat and Koil
