Hans von Ploetz

Hans von Ploetz (born November 27, 1904 in Bromberg ; † December 23, 1993 ) was a Hessian politician ( FDP ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament and general from the New Mark von Ploetz family .

education and profession

Hans von Ploetz attended the secondary school in Arolsen from 1914 to 1923 , where he graduated from high school. From 1923 to 1945 he served as a soldier. Until 1938 he was used in various functions in the army; from 1939 to 1945 he served in the air force. At the end of the war in 1945 he resigned from the troops as a colonel, seventy percent injured in the war. From 1945 to 1954 he grew fruit and vegetables in Arolsen. From 1950 to March 1951 he was an employee of the Red Cross tracing service in Arolsen. In 1955 he became the owner of a newly built hotel in Arolsen. After the founding of the Bundeswehr , he became a soldier again in 1956 and was promoted to general.

politics

From 1948 to 1956, Hans von Ploetz was a member of the Arolsen city council and the Waldeck district council and from April 23, 1951 to April 19, 1956 a member of the Hessian state parliament. In the state parliament he was a member of the cultural policy committee from 1951 to 1956 and a deputy member of the committee for agriculture and forestry from 1951 to 1954. From 1954 to 1956 he was a member of the Committee on Officials. When he joined the Bundeswehr, he left the state parliament. Ernst Arnold moved up for him in the state parliament.

In terms of local politics, he was city councilor and deputy city councilor from 1948 to 1956. 1952 to 1956 he was a member of the district council. In the FDP he was local and district chairman.

Private

Hans von Ploetz was the son of the Prussian chief forest master Herman von Ploetz (1875–1961). Since 1913 he had become chief forest and court hunter master and after the November Revolution he was the chief representative of the former princely family. Berthold von Ploetz was his grandfather.

Von Ploetz married Baroness Felicitas von Kleydorff (* 1906) in 1931. The marriage resulted in two children, Bernt von Ploetz (* 1931) and Camilla von Ploetz (* 1937).
