Hansruedi Hasler (born December 18, 1947 in Langenthal , Canton of Bern ) is a former Swiss football player , coach and technical director of the Swiss Football Association . From 2011–2013 he was Technical Director at BSC Young Boys . At the end of October 2013, his contract with the Young Boys was terminated. He then took on a mandate as a consultant at FIFA .

As a player, Hasler was active at SC Burgdorf (1st league), FC Nordstern BS (NLB) and FC Biel-Bienne (NLA). Later he was player- coach at FC Solothurn (1st league) and coach at FC Grenchen (NLB) and FC Biel-Bienne (NLB). He became known nationally as the technical director of the Swiss Football Association (1995-2010), where he made outstanding contributions to the promotion of young talent, grassroots football and coaching.

In 2010 he received an honorary doctorate from the Philosophical and Human Sciences Faculty of the University of Bern for his services to the development of football as a popular and professional sport.
