The Happy Jacks River is a river in the southeast of the Australian state of New South Wales .

It rises near the settlement The Dip in the Snowy Mountains . From its source, the river first flows a few kilometers to the southwest, where its two tributaries, McKeahnies Creek and Tibeaudo Creek , flow . Then it turns its course to the northwest, where it flows into the Tumut River , a tributary of the Murrumbidgee River .

The Happy Jacks River runs through unpopulated, high alpine area without exception.
