Harald Heinrichs

Harald Heinrichs (* 1970 ) is a German sociologist. He is professor for sustainability and politics at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg .

Heinrichs studied sociology, political science and economic policy at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster from 1992 to 1998 . In 2002 he received his doctorate in sociology at the University of Stuttgart (in cooperation with the Forschungszentrum Jülich ) on the subject of political advice in the knowledge society - an analysis of environmental policy advice systems . From 1999 to 2000 he was visiting scholar at Tufts University in the USA. He was a postdoc at Forschungszentrum Jülich from 2001 to 2004, and from 2002 he was also a lecturer in science, technology and environmental sociology at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf .

From 2004 to 2008 he was junior professor for participation and sustainable development at the Institute for Environmental Communication at the University of Lüneburg. From 2008 to 2009 he was Corporate Responsibility Manager at the auditing company KPMG . Heinrichs has been Professor of Sustainability and Politics at the Sustainability Faculty of the Leuphana University of Lüneburg since 2009 .

Heinrichs primarily deals with the institutionalization of sustainability in politics and administration (1), the connection between sustainability, politics and economy (2), as well as the consideration of sustainability as a process of conflict, communication and cooperation (3). He leads research and development projects on e.g. B. for the Federal Ministry of Research , the German Federal Environment Foundation , the Federal Environment Agency or the WWF . He is active as a consultant and advisory board member for private and public institutions, among others in the Sharing Economy International Advisory Group of the city of Seoul .
