Harald Helfrich

Harald Helfrich (born August 12, 1966 in Traunstein ) is a German director , actor and composer .

Life

Harald Helfrich is the son of popular actor Bernd Helfrich and the grandson of popular actress Amsi Kern . He grew up in Grainau and did his Abitur at Werdenfels-Gymnasium Garmisch-Partenkirchen . He then studied theater studies and American cultural history at the LMU Munich and completed his studies with a master's degree. He then began working as an assistant director and stage manager at the Stadttheater Ingolstadt and in various cabaret programs in Munich, among others. a. in Jörg Maurer's undertone to gain experience.

From 1998 to 2003 Helfrich was director, actor and composer at the Schwäbisch Hall open-air theater. From 2000 he worked on numerous TV productions on Bavarian television for the Chiemgauer Volkstheater and the sitcom Spezlwirtschaft and in 2003 played various TV roles for the Chiemgauer Volkstheater, the Komödienstadl and Brettlspitzen. Since 2015 Helfrich can be seen in the continuous supporting role Daniel Brendel in the Bavarian series "Dahoam is Dahoam".

Since 2005 Helfrich has been an author, director and actor at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen cultural summer , where he a. a. staged the world premieres of Flucht in die Heimat (2010), Willis wilde Weiber (2011) and Der Wildschütz Jennerwein (2013), The sold village (2015). In 2018, Harald Helfrich was the founding father of the “Künstler mit Herz” initiative, which landed a viral hit in the state election with “Mia ned”. He has been a scriptwriter for Bavarian television since 2019.

Helfrich has been a district councilor in Garmisch-Partenkirchen since 2014. From 2014 to 2015 he was cultural advisor for the market.
