Bernhard "Bernd" Helfrich (born August 30, 1945 in Munich ) is a German actor and director . He was also active as an ice hockey player for SB Rosenheim .

Career

Helfrich has appeared in numerous films and television series since the mid-1970s, including the Royal Bavarian District Court , Our Most Beautiful Years (with Uschi Glas and Elmar Wepper ), Die Schnell Gerdi , Die Wiesingers , Der Bulle von Tölz and Komödienstadel . Since 1990 he has played Ernst Langmann in the long-running Forsthaus Falkenau, which was discontinued in 2013 . Mostly he slipped into the skin of natural Bavarian characters. In 1975 he married his colleague Mona Freiberg . They both have a daughter, Kristina Helfrich .

With Mona Freiberg , he took over the management of the Chiemgauer Volkstheater in 1984 as the successor to his mother Amsi Kern . In over 150 television recordings of the plays, he mostly directed and played one of the leading roles.

In addition to his acting career, Helfrich was also active as an ice hockey goalkeeper for SB Rosenheim . Among other things, he moved into the squad for the DEB Cup in 1984 as the second goalkeeper to replace Karl Friesen , who was active with the German national team at the Olympic Games . Here he came on a few short assignments.
