Harald Krüger (politician)

Harald Krüger (born March 10, 1957 in Hamburg ) is a Hamburg politician ( CDU ).

Life

Kruger is married and has one son. He is a qualified social pedagogue and worked as a freelance journalist. Since 1985 he has been managing director of the German Red Cross, district association Hamburg-Harburg. He is also a board member of the Latvian Red Cross, Riga Center Committee.

From 1988 to 2004, Krüger was a member of the social and health committee of the Hamburg-Harburg district assembly . From 1993 to 1997 he was a deputy in the social welfare office. He was a district member of the Hamburg-Harburg district assembly from 1997 to 2004.

From 2004 to 2011 Krüger was a member of the citizenship of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg . As a member of the state parliament he was one of the two parliamentary managing directors of the CDU citizenship parliamentary group, health policy spokesman for the parliamentary group, chairman of the committee for health and consumer protection, chairman of the parliamentary committee of inquiry “HSH Nordbank” and a member of the interior committee.

In the CDU Hamburg he is treasurer of the Harburg district association, chairman of the Harburg SME Association, member of the state board, heads the state committee for health and consumer protection and belongs to the CDU federal committee for health and care.

In November 2014, Krüger moved back into the Hamburg citizenship, replacing Christoph Ahlhaus , who resigned from his mandate prematurely. Krüger ran unsuccessfully in the 2015 election.
