Harald Noack (born June 24, 1945 in Krögis , Meißen district ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2003 to 2008 and from 2011 to 2013 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . He lives in Bovenden , is married and has two children.

education and profession

After graduating from high school, Noack went to the Air Force; he made it to major in the reserve. He studied law, economics and political science at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and obtained his diploma in economics in 1975. In 1974 he received his doctorate. jur. and passed his 2nd state examination in 1978. During his studies, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation scholarship holder was a member of the Faculty Council, the Council and the Senate of Georgia Augusta , a member of the Student Council and chairman of the Ring of Christian Democratic Students (RCDS) Göttingen. Since 1978 he has been working as a lawyer , later also as a notary and specialist lawyer for tax law in the partnership Quantity, Vockenberg, Noack & Partner in Göttingen.

Noack has been a member of the CDU since 1964. Since 1986 he has been a member of the district council in the Göttingen district and since 1991 chairman of the CDU parliamentary group there. In 2001 he became chairman of the joint district assembly of the CDU and Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen . In addition, Noack was chairman of the Göttingen CDU district association from 1989 to 2009; his successor in this office is Fritz Güntzler . Noack is now the honorary chairman of the district association.

In the 2003 state election , Harald Noack prevailed against Thomas Oppermann (SPD) and Stefan Wenzel (Greens) in the Göttingen district and entered the Lower Saxony state parliament as a direct candidate. There he became chairman of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Constitutional Affairs. His work was recognized nationwide, especially from 2006, when he was appointed chairman of the committee of inquiry to investigate the accident at the Transrapid test facility in Emsland . After redesigning the constituencies, Noack ran for re-election in the 2008 state elections in the Göttingen / Münden constituency . He lost to Ronald Schminke (SPD) and left the state parliament. In 2011, however, he replaced the late Reinhold Coenen in the state parliament. He did not run again for the 2013 state election .

At the end of 2010, Noack was given a penalty order for 90 daily rates for money laundering .
