Harald Stegemann

Harald Stegemann (* 1954 in Greifswald ) is a German chemist, politician ( Die Linke ) and he was State Secretary for the Environment in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

biography

After graduating from high school, Stegemann studied chemistry at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald . From 1979 to 1995 he worked as a research assistant at the University of Greifswald. During this time he did his PhD. rer. nat and in 1990 he completed his habilitation in the field of general and inorganic chemistry.

From 1995 to 1998 Stegemann was a research assistant in the PDS parliamentary group for the areas of environmental, transport and energy policy. In November 1998 he took over the management of the ministerial office of Environment Minister Wolfgang Methling (left) in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. From June 2002 to 2003 he headed the State Office for Environment and Nature (LAUN) in Ueckermünde .
From January 2003 to November 2006 he was State Secretary and representative of Environment Minister Wolfgang Methling.
From June 2007 to August 2019 he was head of the State Office for Environment, Nature Conservation and Geology Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (LUNG) in Güstrow .

Stegemann is married and has three daughters.
