Harald Witt (born November 18, 1952 in Lübeck ), nicknamed "The Cat", is a former German football player .

Career

Witt moved in 1975 from 1. FC Phoenix Lübeck as a goalkeeper to the then regional league club VfB Oldenburg , where he ended his active career in 1985.

The 1980/81 season in the 2nd Bundesliga (North) was one of his greatest successes .

In 2006, after a conversation with Josef Zinnbauer and Jörg Rosenbohm , Witt returned to VfB Oldenburg as a goalkeeper coach and coached Mansur Faqiryar , among others . He was then unexpectedly dismissed from the club in September 2014.
