Harl McDonald

Harl McDonald (born July 27, 1899 in Boulder , Colorado , † March 30, 1955 in Princeton , New Jersey ) was an American composer.

McDonald studied at the University of California , the University of Redlands and finally at the Leipzig Conservatory . From 1922 to 1926 he taught in Paris , then in Philadelphia . He later lived in St. Davis , Pennsylvania .

He composed four symphonies , a concerto for two pianos and orchestra, a violin concerto, chamber music works and a mass .
