Harold Emery Moore
Harold Emery Moore Jr. (born July 7, 1917 in Winthrop (Massachusetts) , † October 17, 1980 ) was an American botanist . Its official botanical author's abbreviation is " HEMoore ".
Live and act
Moore received a Guggenheim Fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation in 1946 and 1955 . He was at the Bailey Hortorium in Ithaca in upstate New York operates. Moore was co-editor of Hortus third by Liberty Hyde Bailey (1976). He published partially together with William Thomas Stearn and with Robert Gardner Wilson .
Honors
The plant genus Halmoorea J.Dransf is named after Moore . & NWUhl from the palm family (Arecaceae).
