Harold Wallace McDonald (born September 7, 1975 in Heredia ) is a former Costa Rican soccer player .

Wallace began in the youth of the capital club Deportivo Saprissa and came there in the first team. In 1995 he moved to Mexico for the first time for part of the season to Zacatepec . On his return, he joined league rivals LD Alajuelense . In 1995 he was also in the national U21 selection at the Junior World Championships and was then also used in the senior national team.

Since that time he has been a fixture in the league at Alajuelense as well as in the national team on the right side in defense or in midfield. In the club he won six championship titles and the CONCACAF Champions Cup .

After participating in the 2002 World Cup, where he played in all three of his country's games, he took a season off at Real San Luis Potosí in Mexico before returning to Alajuelense. He was one of nine players who experienced their second World Cup after 2002 at the 2006 Soccer World Cup in Germany. Despite an injury in the run-up, he was in Costa Rica's World Cup squad and also played twice. In 2009 he reached the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup with Costa Rica and played his 100th international match, but lost to Mexico 3-5 on penalties. He played his 101st and last international match on August 12, 2009 in the 4-0 World Cup qualifier against Honduras .
